Back to School Layout Contest

"It's the most wonderful time of the year"... Back to School! I love back to school time... the new backpacks, notebooks, freshly sharpen pencils. Just can't get enough of it. So to celebrate Back to School time we are having a layout contest!

Create a Back to School or First Day of School layout and post it in this thread by September 30th. The layout can be of your child, you as a child, your niece/nephew/grandchild, you returning to school as an adult, even your first day back to school as a teacher. Any layout illustrating a Back to School or First Day of School memory will be accepted.

On October 1st, a panel of judges will vote on their favorite layout. Layouts will be judged on story and over all design. They will not be judged on technique, cost of supplies used, or level of experience. Layouts may be paper or digital, 12x12 or 8x8… there are no restrictions.

And of course we can’t have a contest without a prize! The winner will receive this K&Co Actopus to Zelephant prize pack! This collection contains paper, stickers, die cuts and a set of acrylic stamps and is perfect for school projects and layouts, zoo and Animal Kingdom layouts, cards, and so much more!

Rules

Contest is open to all registered members of Scrapping the Magic - Junior Crafter level (5+ posts) or higher
Only 1 layout allowed per person
Please also upload layouts into the Everyday Layout gallery
Layout may be any size and can be a single page or a spread
Layouts must be complete, containing both photos and journaling
All layouts must be posted before 11:59pm EST on September 30th, 2009 to be counted
Judges - April Baker, Janet Baker, and Elizabeth Caran
Winners will be announced on Friday, October 2nd, 2009
Average Retail Value of the prize is $30
Open to members from all countries
No purchase necessary to win

Thank you for posting this challenge, April. I've got the scrapping bug again!

Here is my layout. For a change, I can list most of the products I used since they are from a kit:

Pattern Paper: Scenic Route, Letter Stickers: Heidi Grace, Lace Cardstock: Ki Memories, Felt buttons: Fiesta Felt

We are going to try and run a contest with prizes every month, so watch for more to come! Have a lot planned for Oct!
